What would an insurance company call wheel spacers ?

  Not a 320d
Just got off the phone, im having my coilovers fitted sometime HOPEFULLY soon and ive just rang the insurance company.

Im not sure they fully understood what coilovers were but they used the term "lowering suspension by 5cm" - which is what i want to drop it by - so i was like meh ok as the guy was foreign and a little difficult to understand. Have to pay about an extra £32 which is a relief:boring:.

They didnt understand what i ment by wheel spacers, although i did explain it was something you bolted to the wheel hub and it widened the track.

We call them wheel spacers funnily enough.

Sorry for the sarcastic answer but this is what you get when you insure with a company who have little or no idea about modified cars.

Well i had no intention of modifying it to begin with, turned out to be the cheapest place by a long way.

If i phoned up a insurance company and a foreign guy answered who didn't know what a coilover was they'd lose my custom.

Unfortunately a hell of a lot of UK insurers outsource to foreign call centres.. great for keeping costs low, insurance prices low, not so great when you have a claim/query/question/modification

Me too!

How many ClioSport customers do you have from now coming to this site and having advertising/section etc.. Quite interested to know!

We're insuring a fair few, more so the modified examples. I haven't got any numbers I'm afraid.
