Whats a fair price to offer for a cup

  Embarrassed to say

Whats a fair price to offer for a prereg 172 cup? Its up for £10999.

Im thinking if the price difference between a 172 cup and a 182 is big enough ill go with another cup.

Offer him ten and finish at around 10 and a half. Does mean youll have a 53 cup with dealer miles, or is it ex demo?

£10995! That is expensive mate! Try phoning another dealer and ask what trade in price would they give you for it if it had done say 2k mile! Youll no dout be very surprised!

Too expensive,im not sayiny there old but dont forget there is now a 182 with cup bits and a 182 cup.The depreciation on a car like this would be big in say 2 years time when you can be looking at a 182 for 8.5 k for example, what will the previous model be worth then, even though its a 53 reg its still the older model if you know what i mean.Think ahead

You forget your talking about dealers, and renault dealers at that. Notorious for being tighter than a ducks arse, but they are there to make money.

Why not cough up the extra and get a 182 cup?

Its not worth it to me saving a few grand and getting a 20000 mile example, would rather have a low mileage one. If the dealer wont give me their cup for £9000 im going to cough up extra and get a 182 with cup options.

unless you really want a cup, you should get a 182 as theres a few going for 10.5k
ps if you want a cup bosscup has a minter for sale

personally as most have said, that is over the top,
my mate paid 10.5k for an 53 pre reg cup with about 2 miles on it, from renault in romford.
He got the car just as the 04 plate came out & it was the last one they had in stock.

I got a 53 pre-reg Cup in June 04 for £10250 with 11 miles on the clock from Renault London West. You should aim for lower than that now!
