Whats gone wrong???

My mates been up and fitted a Netgear Wireless router in after our D-Link went bust. He owns a computer shop before ppl say he's useless.

Now before it was changed the PS3 worked fine through the D-Link and the laptop did too.

But Ive just noticed that I cant signin to anything through AOL, cliosport, hotmail etc etc it just times out. But by using firefox it works fine. Any ideas why???

Also the ps3 cant obtain the IP address????

AOL problem or wirless setup problem???

PS3 is a known issue with the latest firmware of the Netgear. (If it's a DG834G).

You have to downgrade it (or upgrade it if there's a fix now, but there wasn't when I did it last), for the PS3 to work..

Surely if you own a computer shop, checking the Netgear site for known issues would be up high on the list?

Netgear stuff is crap. (imo)

Used to be brilliant stuff back in the day when it all came in metal boxes.

Some of their stuff is broken for iPaqs as well.

^You can still get the metal netgear stuff called the pro range which is good.
