Whats the average life of rear shockers on a 1*2 ?

As one of mine is pissing out oil.

And i just dug out the receipt to see when the 2 rears were replaced last, and they were fitted 9000miles ago :(

I know 9k aint right, but if you went back to Renault with them they'd f**k you off.

It must be the roads up here :(:(

f**k knows whats wrong with these ones i fitted on the rear of my car at 50k.

Probably the roads up here that are all full of f**king pot holes.

Think mine are all in need of doing. Carlton Garage insisted I was rolling on lowering springs as well. Erm... Nope. I think they've probably just sagged or summat :/

Looking at it and replacing all the shocks and springs is gonna cost more than coilovers :(

Right my rear O/S rear is shagged, oil all over it on my Phase 1 172

Will 2003 172 Cup shocks be okay to replace them? Or are they different? :(

Thats one of the rear shockers pissing out oil again and i replaced them back in June 2009 when i posted this thread :(

Any ideas why i'm going through so many rear shocks in so little time ?

The car has standard shocks all round c/w Eibach Sportlines.

My rears lasted abour 50k IIRC.

TBH, you might as well do the fronts too... as they'd be past their best at that point. :)
