Just get yourself booked on a trackday. For weeks after it will fly.

I have been reading the following post http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?p=3661629&posted=1#post3661629 and someone said disconnect the battery and reconnect after half hour and go for a fast run/drive :S

What does that do by disconnecting it ?

Loses the radio anti-theft code.

But, seriously ...

Engines aren't all the same. Fuel octane/quality isn't all the same. Drivers style of driving (hard, easy) and usage (city, country) isn't all the same. Over time the ECU "learns" these things, but it doesn't alter the fuel/air map that's stored in it, it maintains a separate table of small adjustments it makes to the values in the map. Removing power from the ECU clears that table. The next time you start the car the ECU recognises that has occurred, and goes through a process of putting new values into the table. If that first drive is fast run it will plug in values best for that sort of driving. Of course over time the ECU will learn how you "normally" drive and the values will drift back towards ones appropriate to that.

Oh, and yes, you will lose the radio code, which will have to be reentered.
