whats the difference between 172 & 182 xenons. Different??

whats the difference between 172 & 182 xenons, and how much should I be paying for a pair of 182 xenons with bulbs, ballasts and starts. a garage local to me has them

The only difference is that most 182's had grey inserts (surrounds) within the lamp.

All the 172's had black inserts.


In terms of everything else they are the same units.


Retail from Renault they are about £300 per side give or take a few ££.
Second hand anywhere from £100-200 depending from condition etc.

If buying a set, make sure the clips inside have not cracked (lights face down)
Also make sure they are fully working as parts are costly.

Yep just the colour of the internal casing, even some of the very late 172's had the same cases as the 182's.

Yes as a lamp alone from Renault would set you back around £70 last time I checked.

The ballasts are ridiculously priced to buy separately!
