whats your opinions on my air filter relocation and heatshield bodge

just thought id have a mess around with the clios weak point (sucking in hot air) so far all seems ok, i think gains will be minimal but so far the filter has stayed cold on all journeys ive done so far. its not pretty atm but il tidy it up when i get some spare time.

Looks alright as you say once it's tidied up it will look better. It will get minimal heat soak there if any tbh.

the polished plenum will subtract any form of gain you may achieve thanks to heat soak (by polishing the plenum you reduce the efffective surface area hence the polished surface gets hotter)

sit in traffic and once you reach your destination open the bonnet and hold your finger on the plenum, bet you cant last more than 5seconds ;)

lol, i was thinking of using some zircotec heat shielding between rocker and plenum, would this compensate for the polishing?
