Whay finally got my car!

well here she is, been waiting a long time for this.. however i originally wanted a 1.4.. but the guy was offering 4k for an 04 reg 1.2 with 17s tooras, peco back box, tints and K&N air filter. its only done 27k on the clock so we thought it was reasonable.

heres some pics!









these will have to do as it is still in the garage but will take some better ones 2moro if she comes home! full service and tax needs doing, going to take it to renault to make some checks on the car cuz their giving a 28 day warranty on it

things considered to do!

- repray some pannels and the silver side strip to black c/c
- remove the 16v badges and gay chrome number plate surrounds
- changing the front and rear lights
- lowering
- kit (mohave preferably :rasp: )
- change the wheels but it will do for now

any suggestions? constructive comments and critism are welcome, thanks for looking

All you've considered minus the mohave kit and changing the lights. If you're judging your decision on the kit based off the K-Tec website, then have a closer look. It's been heavily photoshopped (Colouring/ 'Rear Arches') and I'm yet to see a Clio on here with it, that looks half decent.

Nice enough for the price but i hate the sound and look of peco ehxhausts on any car, the wheels are a bit big, either lower it or fit 15"'s, 17" will have a serious effect on the 1.2's already slow speed.

Forget the kit, lower it, sort the exhaust, colour code the bump strips, leave alone..

it works for the corsa C sxi on the corsa c forum.. am sure the clio 1.2 isnt that much different

Looks nice enough mate, as others have said though, leave the kitting alone, lower it a bit, colourcode it and just enjoy - and start saving for the 1*2 you're gonna want in about a months time hehe

wel am guna change parts to it, diff back box, new rear bumper cuz the nob heads made a r8 mess of wer he cut it, i can only afford to clean it up abit, spray the pannels etc..

haha i will do mate! actually i think my dads guna buy me a corsa vxr or the 197 in 2 years time.. so il wait for that! btw about the warranty thing, it didnt come with warranty with the price they offered but ma dad made a deal so they offered a 28 day warranty, then i can at least make thorough checks with renault garage

the kit dont look bad.....(me being one of the few members whos a fan of kits....but my suggestion(take or leave) remove chorme plates as said...colour code(black isnt to hard to do yourself) back box will do just stop it hanging so low. lights will do for now. main objective is to lower it imo.... springs will do unless your driving round very bumpy country roads.... good luck with the car...keep us updated...

ther similar to keis.. but their Tooras platinum 8s, they dont make these anymore.. i want to sell em but ma dad said to keep it them for now.. fook gota pay the insurance next few days! beleive it or not i havent even passed my test yet! haha stil a learner! got my test in sept the 7th!

i need to sort out bit n bobs.. im thinkin of t-cutting the scratched pannels rather than respray, its guna cost a hell ov a lot to get it done.. yeah deffo needs lowering, looks like a monster truck with the handbrake on!

by they way the back box isnt hanging low, its the angle of the picture.. the asshole who owned it before cut the bumper in the wrong place! the cut section is more to the right of the actual exhaust than it is surrounding it! lots to do.. whats the best idea for them side strips? shall i just sand it down, and spray and laqure it, or shall i just buy some bump strips from the renault dealer? its only bout 5 mins away the dealer

stick the rest in a 182/197 fund


P.S: check insurance - should declare all, but at least obvious visual mods

iv only declared the alloys at the moment.. planning on taking the rest away and maybe put a diff back box. am changing the lights to black angels, maybe get a hid KIT to go with it cause iv heard the standard ones are shite.

am sure the insurance is not so boverd about simple colour coding are they?? i dont think they can tell the diff tbh lol

It looks like it already has! They've taken the nice wheels and left you with some Bin lids, and someone has stolen your sidestrips and replaced them with Toy swords!!
