No I get what your saying and it sounds like it's genuine.
In that case, forget my suggestion of getting a fibreglass one then as I don't think you'll save much weight, if any at all, over what you have.
In fact, I remember that article and I think he bought all new carbon stuff from streamline so it'll be a genuine carbon spoiler.
