Wheel bearing or not??

  clio 172 cup
I have a humming/whirring noise when I turn right. It sounds exactly like a front wheel bearing.

I replaced all 4 bearings the other day just for good measure and the noise is still there.

Checked the CV boots and refilled filled with grease. No different.

Any ideas?

Sounds awful as its quite loud.

Cheers, Darren

make sure ur brake discs are in good shape, just incase of any sudden cracks

Top mounts are all fine. Had them apart and copper greased them a while ago. Its only just started and gets louder the harder you corner (ie load dependant like a wheel bearing would be).

But they are now new and the noise is the same.

Noise nothing to do with braking. Its when you steer!

Iif you have replaced the wheel bearings, checked the cv joints and top mounts, I would say it is probably your driveshaft.

it could be the cv joint on the drive shaft i had this problem on a 106 gti, sounded if w/ bearing had gone so fit a new one then was still there etc, check for play in the outer cv's mate that could be the answer
