wheel catchin/whistlin wen presin clutch?

a friend of mine has this problem onli startd hapnin 2day ..
Wen he preses clutch n coasts gets a whistling sound.. But when he engages a gear it goes away..
Wot cud it b?

Does it do it when idling, while holding down the clutch?? It could be a worn/dried out clutch release bearing.

just been in the car.. and no not when idling.. and also not when the car is cold.. after say 25 mins of driving?

i actually think it could be outer wheel bearing?

or is it summat else

Thrust release bearing is on its way out sounds lieky.
