wheel nut turns

does anyone know the minimum number of turns the wheel nut should turn to be safe

ive fitted spacers and fitted longer studs, im getting 12 complete turns buts theres about 3-4mm left of the nut when done up all the way

theres 18mm thread of the stud engaged with the nut 12 x 1.5 = 18mm

rule of thumb is minimum 1.5 times the diameter of the stud/bolt

Theres a guide on Ktec site i think it was, saying desired stud length to size of spacer

MSA standard is as Kieran says 1.5 time thread diameter,
safe is anything above the stud diameter really,

@Budgie were you in the F1 side or road car projects ?
