Wheel spacers on a ph1 ?

  Clio 172 ph1
Hey there I'm new here sorry if this has been asked many of times I have used the search button but still not found any answers

I have a clio sport ph1 172 and I'm looking at putting on wheel spacers to give it more of a better stance

am am I right in saying that I need 16mm spacers on the rear and 20mm on the fronts ? Would it cause me many issues?

many thanks

Ive just put some 25mm on the front and looks spot on! 20mm would be minimum i would think. 10mm rear is fine like Scott says, you could probably get 15mm depending on tyre profile and if you wanted to add some camber too.

Sorry to jump on the back of this. Where do people get them from? I would like to invest in some when I come to replace my dampers and I have no idea where the best deal would be to get them from.

Get the front spacers from larkspeed. 20mm bolt to hub type (using existing wheel bolts) for the front.

Get 10mm rear hub spacers. Perfect for a Ph1 IMO.

Or buy them direct for Euro car parts (the H&R fronts)

I've got a set of 15mm spacers I am going to put on the back of mine, need to get the bolts for it. But these go behind the hub - I think that's what my brother says, he knows and is helping me fit them!!

Not sure what to do with the fronts though...

What size hub spacer can you get away with on the rear without needing bigger bolts? I've got some 10mm without camber to go on.

Am I right in saying your 10mm blocks are fitted between the Hub and the beam axle - hence you can use standard wheel bolts ?

It looks like I run camber on that pic, but I don't.

You can also see the front wheel spacers at that angle which are spot on IMO. Spaced out but just a little tuck into the front arch is just right. In line with the arch looks too much unless you run camber.

Does anyone know what the four bolts are called that hold the rear hubs on? I went to install my spacers yesterday but the smaller star headed bolt was rounding off so I gave up.

Renault don't sell them anymore, however I bought some from eBay.

I'm sure they are 75mm long, the small one is M8 the other 3 are M10 countersunk.

Hello, just to confirm, when you say use rear 10mm spacers, you do mean per side.?Kam Racing also sell the Eibach spacers at competitive prices, but list 2x10mm spacers as a 20mm kit.I wouldn`t want folks to buy the wrong kit in error.
