Wheel spins very easy?

Recently my Clio dci mk2 will wheel spin very easy in the wet. And sometimes in the dry.

I only have budget tyres but they are normally ok.

It does it mainly if I drive over a drain cover whilst accelerating. And not accelerating too hard either.

Also there is a particular drain cover that I hit regularly with the drivers side wheel whist braking on it (as it is and the end of road and I am stopping for the junction) and when I hit the drain cover it sounds like the ABS is kicking in. Makes a crunchy sound and I can feel it vibrate through the brake pedal.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Will be down to a combination of the budgets and a heavy right on both the braking and losing traction imo.

Get better tyres. Uniroyal Rainsport 2's are very cheap in 15's, and good.

Get the tracking checked if its changed a lot in terms of when it breaks traction, but cold wet roads are obviously always going to be an issue anyway.

Some sensible answers - Thanks.

To the 2 people that said I'm driving like a penis and dont hold my foot to the floor - I'm not.
