Just picked up a clio this evening:

1.4 RT

Just wanting to know what wheel sizes can fit this model/mk

the PCD and offset

and how far it can be dropped over these sizes!

also...

What higher models of the same mk have sportier bumpers that would be a direct replacement?

more the rear bumper really and lower front splitter

You're stuck with that bumper unless you change for a 172 front bumper but then you'll nedd the wider arches aswell so its becomes very expensive

As for the rear bumper the only subtle choice is the 172 bumper from 2001 onwards but you'll need matching arch liners aswell to do the job properly

PCD = 4x100
ET = 37 ish

Wheels are really up to you in theory 18's will fit on if you really want to

A popular choice for non performance clios in 17's with a 60mm drop

If you want non aftermarket wheels then the largest size clios come with are 16's

Mine has a rubber lower front lip!
is there a colour coded version of this out?

does the 172 rear bumper, only need the arch liners with it?
no other body modifications required to fit?

hi,

If you get the 172 front bumper you also need front arches, front arch liners and side skirts. Or you could buy an unofficail front bumper from Prima or another company that 'look' like the 172 ones.

The 172 rear bumper requires the arch liners aswell and it will fit straight on (you dont 'need' the arch liners but they help)

There is not a colour coded version of your front lip. But you could buy the 2001 onwards front lip (splitter) for £27 and then have that colour coded.

I personally have a -60mm Apex Suspenion Kit over some 16's. But my offset is off and i have wide tyres so have a little rubbing.

As Saner said, -60 Apex kit on 16's, you can't go wrong....gives a decent drop, good handling and won't break the bank either.

Think I'll go for 16's then,
and check out prices for kits on lowering,
might leave that at -40mm for now so I don't have to splash out for dampers just yet!

The Big Yin is selling a front splitter for your bumper. Same as the one I've got fitted (see pics below)

Its a 3 piece splitter and is extremely high quality and a perfect fit. There is a centre section buts its hard to make out on the pics. Here's a couple more I've dug out (plus one of the rear with 172 bumper and cup splitter).

Yup, 17" BK Racing 121 wheels, just need to get it lowered and the exhaust sorted now
