i always do the wheels first. otherwise all the crap from the dirty wheels will go all over the car i have just cleaned.
and by the time the wheels are clean, spots of dried water will apear on the paintwork.

:S Why will the crap from wheels go over the car?

I start at the roof and work down. Wheels last for me

thats just the way i do it gaz. wheels first, then wash the rest of the car with a fresh bucket.
works best for me. it just wouldn't feel right doing the wheels last.

well not so much 'crap', but suds of contaminated brake dust water will get on the car when i have already washed it. makes more sence doing the wheels first to me. get the pain in the ass job out of the way first.

Wash Car, Wash Wheels, Dry Car, Dry Wheels then all the Detaling afterwards

Wheels first with the two bucket method ( using the seperate set of buckets just for use on the wheels ) whilst the snow foam is dwelling on the car.

Always first.

Wheel cleaner on the wheels, pre wash the bodywork, snowfoam bodywork, clean wheels and arches, jet wash it all off then clean the bodywork.

If you wash them last by the time you have finished you will have watermarks.:dead:

Should be done first, ask any detailer, any real detailer, it doesn't matter if you wash the wheels with an old sponge or wheel brush and mitt, washings washing.

I wash my wheels first becuase;
- I wouldnt be bothered towards the end
- Prevents overspray of wheel cleaning chemicals being left on the car
- Something to do as SnowFoam works its magic
- I wouldnt clean super dirty wheels and archers after to prevent overspray of dirt on to a clean car
- It makes more sense

Both for me, but usually i will do the wheels first while the car is having a 15 minute foam bath. (different bucket to wash)
Then rinse all of together.

I am dude! Had the whole office against me like I was some sort of weird freak today!

Only just seen your posts/thread... wasn't Smiler by any chance was it??!!

I wash mine last, but only because I dont do a proper clean. Just bought some new products and snow foam and was planning on cleaning the wheels whilst the foam is on.

I clean from top to bottom, I always dry off the paintwork too beforehand but, I do the wheels last.. With separate cloths/bucket/cleaner etc for the wheels. then wax/buff it all if it needs it.

Personally I do them last. Wash the car, dry is down. Do the wheels, and arches, hose down, dry off. Works well for me. If it splashes onto the clean body work, which it never does, i'd just hose that area too. Each to their own I guess.

Used to do them last, but since having the wheels painted, always do them first now.

depends on how i feel n weather its warm or not, normaly tho i clean the car then dry it, then turn the nosle on the hoes so its a nice shower of water that doesnt splash, then spray them with Car lack 86 then leave for 3mins (usualy involves a quick game of around the board (darts for thoes who dont know) then spray it off n get the old small brush out doesnt flick the soapy(dirty) water up n the hoes off again im just carefull with my spraying

Wheels first ALWAYS!

I usually go round the wheels with bilberry and a wheel brush and then proceed to snow foam the bodywork, arches and wheels and then i pressure wash off the wheels and arches first.

Always first for me. Usually whilst snowfoam is doing its business.
If you do it afterwards you have to either:
-do it when the car is dry (and splash water over the clean, dry paint)
-or when the car is wet (can lead to water marks if its a warm/sunny day).
