wheels wobbling

Car  Toureg vW Transporte

just got some wheels off pete smoothed clio, and have problems with the wheels wobbling loads, got the spigot ring on, just wondering if maybe they need balancing, any ideas would be great.ta

other wheels were fine, have put spacers on and done up bolts, think /hope must be the balancing, cant think of anything else cheers guys

A related quick question, are the rear wheels supposed to be balanced ? my guess is no.

you said you have the spiggot rings on the hubs! vibration through the wheels can be caused by inproper alignment when tightening the bolts, always good to do bolts up evenly and opposite each other so they line up in the countersunk holes in the whell properly,

but my guess is that you need the wheels balancing.

yes your back wheels do need balancing aswell, can cause just as many problems with vibration

what spacers are u using, as i use none on the same rims, my bets on the balancing daf!

right just had the wheels balanced, is better but bloke rekons its down to the spigot rings, not spacers, i have no spacers, just the plastic rings behind the wheels, or prehaps my wheel studs arnt long enough.
