wheels

looking throught the board alot of the post are debate about what wheels they should go for, well why not go for the german look, 15ins Schmidt TH-Line with 205/45/15 and slammed to the floor, youll get graet handling with good grip, check out www.ra-design.co.uk and have a look at the wheels under the product section, have a look at the clio and the Polo mk4. love it or hate it.

being slammed would not give better handling, and the 205 section tyres would give way too large a footprint, but i do like the wheels!

Yuck! das ist sh*te! Those small wide wheels make cars look like roller skates.
A mullet and dodgy tash would give you a much cheaper german look.
No offence.

nedbeard! Congratulations! Lots of people post lol on their message but your comment about the german look is the first time for about 6 months Ive really done a lol about something posted on here! In fact Im still clutching my sides!

also nedbeard i like whatve you had done with your headlights, i had that idea before i joined this forum and i thought noone would have thought doing that before and how orginal im go to be, oh well, anyway how do u take the casing off and what type of paint do u use on the housing?

Wheels - Theyre not really my cup of tea... too much chrome and no gaps. Multispokes suit it much better (see Steve Ankers car in the gallery! - Nice!) but thats just my opinion.

Headklights - Hehe - beat ya to it!
Painting the headlights is a pretty straightforward process Firstly remove the headlight, then prise the transparent plastic cover off - its held on by 4 clips and a load of black gunk. Be patient as it takes time to remove and youll bugger it if you rush it! Heating up the gunk will help. Then remove the 4 screws behind the lamp to release the chromed part. To paint the lamps you can mask off the surround from the main halogen light (the stripey bit) and the curved portion of the indicator reflector - IMPORTANT - the chrome covering is VERY EASILY DAMAGED so use very lightly adhesived masking tape or the reflective chrome WILL come off! You can do without masking but it helps with the light beam and indicators.

If you are painting any colour other than black be sure to paint the back of the housings in matte black or the colour will show through with the light - not bad on mine as they glow electric blue at night but this might not be the desired effect.
I had them painted when I got the bodykit fitted and they used the same paint as on the car. Lately Ive noticed a very slight bit of wrinkling in the paint around the main beam but its hardly noticeable.
Matte paint might be a better solution but thats up to you.

I recomend using Philips SilverVision indicator bulbs for the best visible results.

Hope this helps.
Ned.
