When fitting a standard exhaust to a mk2 172, do you need the fitting kit ?

Do you ned the fitting kit renault sell for £45 ??

I have no idea about the kit, apparently one might be needed but it might not...

basically my old man is swapping his knackered exhaust & cat for the same items (just standard stuff) and he needs to know if he needs joining kit which goes from the manifold to the exhaust ?

Anyone know ?

There is a fair chance it will leak if you don't use it. I think ktec do it for half that. Plus the bolt heads get pretty rusted.

On a 172 it is hassle to get to so you might as well replace it to reduce your chance of having to get back in there.
