Ive been looking for a Williams 1 with mileage preferably under 60k in standard condition for ages. No one seems to be selling them at the moment. There are loads of Willy 2s and 3s for sale.
I guess that everyone just wants to keep their car as they are so unique.
i drive a Willie 2, and when i knew i wanted one and i start looking, it took me 4 months to find 1 to find one with less than 60k miles on the clock complete original from the first owner, full maintenance history.
thats something i couldnt say no 2.
if you really want a phase 1, keep looking for 1, im sure youll find a good 1, but it may take some time....
To be honest I wouldnt say no to a Mint Williams 3 but it would have to be fairly low mileage still. I went to look at one on the south coast on Saturday which was apparently mint but it had a few dents and flaking paint. Also the steering was way off centre, may have been the tracking but I wasnt too sure.
Thats what I thought. Think I couldve got it for £5500 cash there and then but I wasnt 100% happy with it. However it did have a full renault s/h which has to add to the value.
Me and Louise went to look at the one on the south coast yesterday, you said about flaking paint, we found it had been fully resprayed, laquer marks on every panel and it only said Williams on the side, no 3 badges. Had a couple of awkward panel gaps too. He did warm it up though unlike alot of other ones we have seen, limiter from cold lol
and one wing mirror was sports blue and other one monaco blue lol
