where do people get their BHP figures from?

as above 10 BHP from an exhaust ? I think not.

172's standard put out around 165 bhp

so where does he get 182 bhp from ?

People go by the manufactures figures on gains alot of the time,
although some people just pluck a figure out of thin air.

If I added up all the manufactures figures of my mods i'd be over 200bhp. :S

Dyno graphs are the only way to know for sure,
but even they're open to interpretation depending on where it's done.

I bet you had it tested though :approve: It annoys me people think numbers in their heads and try and flog a car with ??? bhp

A remap can only add 5 bhp and surely 88k would knock off some bhp?

Milage adds hp until they get to be as old as mine (168,000) then they drop a bit.

i got my extra BHP by collecting coupons on the back of a Rice Krispies box and sending off for it.
works a treat.

im not going to lie tho, mines 385bhp..... because i say so, lol
