Where's my brake fluid!

Morning all,

I've recently noticed that my brakes don't seem to be biting as early on the pedal travel as they used, so thought I'd check the fluid level as I had new pads 4 months ago.

However, having check where the level indicator should be (according to the handbook), I seem to be missing a resovoir to top up! Handbook indicates that it sits between the power steering fluid and coolent, but I've got nothing there.

Are the 172's different, or is there a mistake in the handbook? Can anyone help (prefereably with a picture of where it should be)?

Thank,

Greg

BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR !!!
Its down back of engine bay down left side where air con pipes come in...

You may have to remove engine cover if its a 172 ff as its a pain ain arse to get to as cover makes it difficult access to it.

There ya go mate .As said , you have to remove the engine cover to get to it . I always put a few old rags around it when i'm filling it in case i spill any . The exhaust sits below it and you don't want any on there .

^^^ Thats cos its the generic owners manual for Clios . There's a separate owners manual for the RS Clios , but it doesn't actually show you in that one either where the brake fluid reservoir is for the RS's .
