which battery is best to buy?

battery died last nigt :-( rac came out and confirmed it , i know i need an 063 type, which is best to get? on halfords they have three,
lead acid one, calcium one and a bosch silver one.

any recomendations?

I just took one of those Exide ones off mine (not that there was any problem with it) and put a Varta Silver Dynamic (C6, 52Ah) on it - I believe they're the same as the Bosch S5.

I got a Bosch S4 from GSF, in 2010. Swopped yesterday under warranty. Keep hold of your receipt as the 4yr warranty will be a standard Bosch warranty

Bosch warranties are generally 5yr? The S4's in Halfords have 5yr gaurentee

GSF and Euro do the Bosch for the same price and free delivery so might as well get the Bosch, just curous which one to go for?

I got a Euro Car Parts Lion battery (063) around 6/7 years ago and its still going strong but if anything I would go for a Motrio battery from a dealership as they are genuine Renault ones with a different sticker.
