which chip!

i keep hearing mixed views about all sorts of chips, which one should i get? superchip?unichip?do r-sport make them for the 1.6 or not? help!!

more horsies would be nice but i know mines only a 1.6 so i wouldnt expect much, a bit more torque would be nice though!

Superchips if bog standard or Unichip if modded . BTW nothing wrong with the 1.6 ..... lots of fun!

You can only get an r-sport ecu for the cup.

No...........you can get the Cup Competition ECU for the Mk2 172 as well (Phone Johnathan - hell put you right) It was developed specifically for the CUP but does fit a 172.

My Mk2 1.6 16V is pushing 137BHP and 0-60 in 7.9. Its superchipped too, but that on its own wont give you big gains - more Torque than BHP which is what matters more. Big gains only available on this engine if you change to bigger injectors.........as per any car really.
