Id ignore the Sony.

D40 or whatever the Canon equivelent is. Go into a shop and handle them and see what feels best for you.

Dito, really like the feel of the D40, A200 felt a bit awkward to hold.

Was about to get a D40 myself til I saw the price of the D60. Cheapest I've found:

D60 - £263.61 (after £30 cashback)

A200 - £229.44 (after £30 cashback)

thanks for your help guys, il give the sony miss.

is there much difference between the d40 and d60?

Judging by reviews, the D60 is the D40 with more megapixels and a few extra features.

I've just had this dilemma, opted for the D40 and spending my extra pennies on some better glass:approve:
