Which discs and Pads

Car  Clio 182
hey peeps, another thread but I want peoples opinions. I now need all discs and pads on my 182 but have no idea where to get them and which ones?? or even what size? Dont want to spend too much as I am skint :dapprove: any links or help would be appreciated? thanks a lot

Standard front disks and pads mate, nothing wrong with them. Cost me £70 odd for both disks and pad sets, cant go wrong imo:)

Im running red stuff i dont need ds2500 im not really tracking it or needing crazy braking and it is so much better than the standard pads. Saying that the standard pads are more than capable.

Brembo HCs with Ferrodo DS2500 pads here. Very good braking!

The DS2500s squeal like a b**ch though, even more so after a good drive

Mine don't :S

Don't waste the extra cash on the HC discs, the normal Brembo Max ones are just as good in my experience.

hi there, thanks for everyones replies and advice, but unfortunately worked out that i only have 200 pound to spend on them all. So i need discs and pads for that. Any one advice with low budget? where do i get standard discs and pads from and how much?

Is it not the other way around Day?
Thought HC were cheaper without the grooves and so-on

Then you are correct!

I don't prepare the thing, i only drive it. lol

Have the groves but paid for non groves ;) don't ask, deal not to be repeated.

Eurocarparts.

i need to replace all of them so front and rear, so its 120 for the front so will be even more for the back. :(

I have just fitted DS2500 front and Rear Pads, Brembo HC front Disks and Standard Rear disks. Awesome set up IMO, stopping is so much better now.

Bet they are awesome! ;) But I dont have that kinda money to spend. Only have 200 for them all.

im looking at buying dsics and pads but some come with bearings and ABS rings but some dont, I have no idea what they mean, anyone care to explain??

now i understand :approve: are they hard to fit? can i use my existing ABS rings or do i need new ones when buying discs and pads

I believe you can re use the ABS ring, but they're a pain to remove apparently. Bearings need to be pressed into the disc. Not sure how much that would set you back though.

thank you all for your replies. very much appreciated. Unfortunately, i cant afford the brembo and ferrodos so need to keep looking for alternative.

thinking of getting HC front discs, standard pads on front and back and standard rear discs as i cant afford the KTR rear discs. If i buy standard rear discs, will they come with bearings and ABS rings.

Decided to get Brembo Front Discs, KTR rear discs and some Mintex pads as i cant afford the Ferrodos:dapprove:

thank you all for your help

Tbh i dint think that you will even notice the difference with standard disks and brembo max disks. Save yourself some money next time buy the more than capable standard setup. You want better brakes buy 4 pots ;)

Ok i'll get the standard discs out the shed and refit them will i ?

:rasp:
