Which of these would I be better off buying?

  BMW Z4 3.0i
Vibe 12" active sub (includes amp wiring kit) - £190

Sony 2x12" subs + box + amp (no amp wiring kit incl.) - £230

Will the twin 12" box fit in the boot of a clio?

I would be running the sub with a sony HU which I have not yet bought but it is likely to be this Sony one http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/4481.html

I had a similarly priced sony HU and sub setup in my last car (a megane hatch) and was very happy with it. I do not want to spend more money than what I have suggested. I will be keeping the standard speakers. My gut feeling is that £190 is more what I want to pay for the addition of subwoofer bass and as the clio boot is tiny, a single 12" would be better suited. Plus the Vibe is probably gonna be a lot better quality than the Sony. But I'm worried that the single Vibe won't be loud enough compared to the double Sonys.

If you aint bothered about sound quality or boot space go for the Sonys.

edit: If your keeping the rest of your speakers standard, its likely the 2x12 Sony's will be far louder than the rest of your system,

i dont think sony have a very good rep, i would stick with the vibe active, they get very good reviews
