5w40 should be ok, at the dealer ship i work at sports and 16v engines get the same oil

you sure 5w40 or it is 10w40??

Either will do really if you take it renault they would probably put 10w40 in it but for that little bit extra protection in the cold Id put 5w40 fully synthetic in it.

I use halfrauds 5w40, sound better than on 10w40 magnatec. Less tappety on idle. Have tried a few and have settled on this.
Reminds me mine needs doing this weekend.

10w40 Giles, just put some Total Quartz 7000 in mine (apparently same as ELF excellium) £20 for 5 litres (from total garages) and so far seems fantastic
