Which rear speakers - cheap coax

  Skoda Fabia vRS
i want to replace the rear speakers in my car

im going to get these adapters so i can use 13cm in the rear

i dont want to spend a lot, the fronts will be amped and there will be a sub in the boot, i just want to be able to turn the headunit up without the back speakers letting it all down

only really want to spend about £40 at most

what about these ?

not long left but i can get them cheaper than retail brand new with warranty etc

dont really want comps in the back though do i, and for that kind of money id guess coax will be better anyway

I have Focal Access 130CA in for rear fill - good job and cost me about 65

They are cheaper than that now if you can get them - new range of Access are out this year I think

Hope this helps

why are rear speakers a waste of time then??
I was gonna get some for mine, as i can hear the driverside rear crackling & sounding blown when i got the stereo on, so surely having a half decent pair of speakers in the back would improve this/ sound better than a blown standard speaker?.... wouldn't it?

  Nike Lunar Elite's
No, just get rid of them, they ruin the soundstage. You don't need any speakers in the rear 1/4 at all!

  Skoda Fabia vRS
normally i agree about the sound stage and getting rid of the rear speakers but ive decided i do want a bit of rear fill

fronts will be amped with a sub, rears just on the headunit

biddin on Pioneers, the cheaper Alpines i find quite trebly, apart from the really cheap ones they do, but those seem to lack quite a lot of frequency range when you actually listen to em

I really wouldnt bother. I changed my speakers to alpine type S coaxials all round and it sounded sh*te compared to the original speakers. biggest waste of money i've ever spent.

tbh, i was gonna keep my alpines in the back and get some good comps up front, i just dont think they're really needed (the rear coaxials), especially if you have a sub. but if the speakers are only cheap, you can always take em out and not loose any money. Play around a bit when you get them and if they do ruin the soundstage take em out. As you said, I wouldnt go for alpines if you want to even out the sound, mine are very "tinny"

arse

bit late now anyway mate

also, after just amping my fronts, i think im gonna cancel my order for those coax, hmmmmm, might see how it sounds though first
