Car  Clio 182
Hi,

I Have a standard 182 05 plate non cup.

I am looking at getting it lowered. How far is a recommended drop on the standard alloys? and which kit do any of you guys recommend?

Thanks

Looking at a few hundred more then for H&Rs or AST's

Depends if you just want to lower it, or lower it and keep the handling.

I want to lower it and keep the handling yeah. Also if I lower it will i need new shock abosrbers?

you can get gaz at about £450. You can lower it on just springs Eibach/apex and maintain handling

^^^i'd go for some H&R coilovers then [if you can afford them that is]
Had a go (finally!) in a H&R's car today. Really nice. The ride is good, handles really well. Rolls more than the AST's, steering feels better as well. I wouldn't change my AST's for H&R's, but the H&R's are very good.

i'm holding back on my judgement on the AST's until friday, did you like riz's then?

If you can't afford coilovers just get some eibach springs. They hold there own and although there not as good as coilovers they are pretty good for the money.

Anybody got any links to some eiback suppliers?

Looking at around the mark! Don't i need new shock absorbers too?

Really liked them mate. Def prefer the steering on mine, but I'd be totally happy with either H&R's or AST's. The brakes are awesome, forgot how good braided hoses feel. Need to lower the drivers seat though, and replace that rubber bung.
