white spots after waxing

  clio dynamique
hi,

used turtle wax platimum car shampoo and then waxed it afterwards. left it for several minutes until it dries white. then used a buffing mit to buff it all off. it all came off, however it left several white dots on the all of the car which doesnt look good lol.

it eventually comes off after hours of rubbing with a mit, but there are lots of spots so would take a long time to get it to clear. is there an easier way to get rid of them?

and is it the wax that has made it happen? if so which waX do you recommend?

thanks very much

Sounds like water marks to me, there is a way round this, buy and fit a de-ioniser filter for your tap, ionised water will not leave marks.

I havr this issue with my water, just mae sure u rinse well after washing then while its still very wet i use my drying towels As To Not Leave Water Marks.(and if there are any i usually polish before waxing)

You could try using a detailing spray as you dry each panel - might help with the water spots.

after you wash the car rise off the suds and dry with a good towel and a QD spray like Megs last touch or Chem guys synthetic detailer, make sure the paint is dry when applying the wax and dont apply too much, when buffing use a good towel and some Qd spray again

I used to use the same stuff on my black saxo and did the same, they are not water marks just little bits of wax left of the paint that dont wipe of with the rest of the wax!!! gave a good shine but stop using it for the spot reason !!
