On Evo and Car test 182 cars. £300 for some tape, when the Cup handling pack is only £250? Are they having a laff? Would anyone actually spec up the stripes?

I though them tacky and vile and a let down for the blue body, anthracite wheel combo that otherwise worked quite well.

Each to his own I guess.

True, althoug the 360cs stripes are photoelectronically bonded (what ever that means) and probably wont lift with a pressure washer. But £3.5K

I guess if you are writin ga cheque for £130K, it not an issue. And they look OK

Just as the cup will in the long term hold its value better over the 182 as a true classic, as it was a homolagation special regardless of the numbers sold (roughly 2500)

If you get a 182 with the Gordini style stripes, this to will have a certain limited number appeal which in the long run might make the car worth a bit more.

I am talking further down the road here, by which time most of you will have sold your cars for something else?

I know, the process that I didnt understand is how they bond the stripe paint to the body and then then in turn blend the stripe with the main body colour with out masking and with a uniform thickness, making it part of the finish. Apparently that ios quite clever, hence cost.

Is the 182 stripe paint too? Only it looks like tape.

it is tape but it would be ok for £50 not £295 and yes i think it will hold some value down the road,im not to sure about them myself but if its only tape id keep it and put it on when i sell

Dont think the stripes will make any difference tbh... not many people will have them on their 182 becuase they dont look very good!!! And if you decide you want them, any good paintshop could apply the same stickers for half the cost!!

Are you sure the Cup was a homologation special?? I thought it was released to sort of celebrate (cant think of the word Im after at the mo!!) the Clio Cup race series??
