There is a white R26 coming out anyway... although the idea of a white mk2 V6 in white with the contrasting white elements is a very exciting project.
At the end of the day buying a new Renault will never be considered a solid investment so get a cheap second hand model and do it up. I'd look for a mk2 V6 though myself rather than the first V6.

u'll devalue it by only spending £1500 on the respray!
you'll need to pay at least 2k to spray it properly. (removing all glass, interior, trim etc. if you cut corners u'll be paying twice for the work, (once to do it and the loss in value on the resale price)
buy one in mars red with anthracite wheels.

As for the respray, i'll be getting the equivalent of a £2500 respray done for £1500, mates rates you see.....
Personally after seeing these photoshops, its making me want to do it even more!!!
Oh, and for some reason i think the slightly curvier nature of the Ph1 V6 suits the white more...
Plus they're cheaper!!!!

I have to agree with you mate. It does look the dogs danglies. Only thing is the Ph1 is only 230bhp is that right? Never been in one but I'd imagine they aren't all that fast? Probably R26 pace? Ph2 would be quicker although more expensive. Obviously though you don't just buy a V6 for it's performance...

Naa, like i've said previously, i think the Ph1 suits white better.
I will be putting a Ph2 spoiler on though, much better...

Standard a mk1 does 60 in about 6 secs - a ton comes up in about 17 though, so not too bad (obviously the mk2 is quicker)
As you say - you don't buy one for it's performance (well I didn't anyway, if i'd have wanted proper performance i'd have got a scooby P1 or something like that)
I don't find it overly slow at all, it launces really well & pulls hard, sure it's a touch slower than my last car, but not snail pace slow.
For me it was for the look of it, the rarity & desireability factor. Plus turns so many heads it's un-true
With regards to the handling, most of that is bullsh*t tbh. Sure in the wet if I was to push it hard i'd spin it, but driven sensibly in the wet it's fine. They have lot of grip in the dry, which is great.
Also - no v6's make the quoted power either:dapprove: a mk1 is likely to be about 210-215bhp & a mk2 is about 240 (or so)

Its gonna be done in Porsche Carrera White, so its not too flat. Same colour the GT3 comes in.... :yum:

White is the most popular colour on the market at the moment - look at the Golf GTi, loads of them in white - lots of manufacturers are using white for press cars (BMW, Audi, Merc), and, er, Porsche?
