Whiteline ARB worth buying ??

I would set it up for you on track , any weight changes on the road should never matter anyway as you should never be "on it" on the road ......

and its a good base point to start with when doing a full geo setup ,

And another impression I was under. Corner weighting is time consuming and expensive in a comparison to the benefits you will notice on the road. Unless race car, then fair play.

Spoke to blink. He says no need for me to corner weight for what i use car and iv booked in for geo setup next saturday 9:30. 130 plus vat

yer mentioned the foruom, to be honest its abit more than i wanted to pay so getting it done at a differant place, im going to get it set up the same as what you had yours done but how do i adjust the rear camber ??

Rear camber you change with shims behind the stub axles, you cant afford it by the sounds of it, lol

rear camber = shims

surprised Rich said don't corner weight , but i can understand why you wouldn't , personally if i was doing it i would want it spot on , however from your above post cost is obviously and issue .

Like said you need shims. I had them on the ph1, they are a pain and time consuming to get right as they are a nuisance to fit. Who's doing the tracking then mate

  clio 172
i have the money to get it done at blink but seen as im not building a full on race car i just want it to be a nippy car on and around track, rich said that due to me poss having passengers in the car when on track that its not worth while me getting it corner weighted due to the constant change in weight, hence no point in having it done

yes i understand that ...... my reasons would be personal and having it spot on when in the car alone , as adding passengers adds weight and slows the car anyway .

i totaly understand where your coming from but i want to just have fun, its a track car for fun , not a race car, i just want to go out have a laugh and keep on laughing when back in the pits after iv spun off ha ha

I normally just get protyre to set the tracking and do me a printout of all the other values as a starting point, 30 quid and then you can see if its worth doing anymore or not.

Protyre in Warrington did mine. Rich found one of the camber bolts they fitted was loose, won't use them again

thats fair enough ..... even my track day cars have been dedicated track cars and done minimal road work as we always have other daily drivers .

don't currently have a track car at all , and i'd just drive the 172 we have as is ... totally boggo , as building track cars is a slippery slope into the money pit .

There are 2 near me, one seems to be staffed by people that got sacked from mcdonalds for not knowing enough about cars to be able to work on a drivethru, the other though has a couple of really epic lads there with PROPER understanding of how geo works etc.

That's the problem though its so hit and miss. Expensive and annoying all roled into one if they get it wrong. Take it too someone recommended normaly without the fancy workshop with crap tasting coffee. I would only in the future take my cars to the people I've suggested

That should soften the cost lol. If he's into his cars etc I'm sure he will have heard of them?

Plenty in Stock at our supplier, could possibly see if they will ship direct. Otherwise it would end up being 1 day to us then 1 day to you.

If it ends up popular we would end up keeping it on the shelf.

I will enquire about a group buy tomorrow but at that price I'm not sure what further discount could be offered.
