Who could fix my prospeed for me? :(

  K20 EG Hatch
Basically when they built my cat back system they used the standard rubbers and put inside them some "plastic rings" to stiffen the rubbers up. To hold them in place they cable tied them. Well forever the cable ties move and these plastic rings end up falling out so the pipes always look on the piss. I want a fix doing to stop this but have no idea what can be done :s
Also one of the welds have broke on the "supporting bar" things closest to passenger side. Could this be easily welded again as a cable tie is holding it at the minute to stop it chinging.
Its only been on about three-four months max and as Cardiff is a 3 hour drive from my area i cant go back there really for just a fix :(

Had nothing but trouble with exhausts on the 182, the 1.2 was a cheapo ashley, looked and sounded the tits and never "sagged" or anything.

Deffo worth a try, just say to them that you aint happy and that they ahve a very good rep on the car forum that you use "hint hint" and you would like them to either pay for someone local to fix it or for you to travel there and they sort it ;)

Any local engineering place should be able to weld the the broken bit.

As for the mounts I ended up getting those uprated yellow poly exhaust mounts for my old 309 GTi as it just sagged with the standard ones.

Bear in mind you want to find a welder that can weld stainless steel or it will rust! There is a difference, but sure you all know this?

how did you sort urs mate? did prospeed do it for you or somewhere else?

i used some spare samco hosing and cut it into small strips, zip tied it together to make a solid rubber block then wedged it under the exhaust mount and secured with a big zip tie! i used strips of rubber so i could adjust the level on each mount so the exhaust was level.

its pulled the exhaust up really well and its also a lot more stable and shakes around a lot less when driving.

I luckily have a garage near work that can weld stainless so got mine fixed there when the mounting arm snapped. Cheap aswell.
