  172 cup
Yes before you say it, iv done a search, i just want some more info from other people.

If you have can you tell me...
  • Who it is with
  • How much you are paying
  • Fully comp/tpft
  • Online quote/compare site
  • How many years NCB
:D

I dont want to know names of good insurance companies to try, just what people are paying at the moment. :)

I'm 21 mate & its costing me £1800 fully comp.. they will rape you for insurance.. they know they have you by the bulls so they can charge what they like :dapprove:

Try bell.co.uk though mate, there the best i could find...

  172 cup
BTW i have 1 years NCB and 2 years exp.

My current insurance policy for my saxo expires in november, and i turn 20 in january, so would it be cheaper to wait till the january to start the policy for the clio when im 20??????

Your job, postcode, usage of the car etc etc all make huge differences to insurance, so daft people telling you what they pay mate.

im paying £957 on my FF 182 with cup packs. Ive been driving 3 years, 21 with 1 yrs ncb (no accidents)

  182
May be a silly question....but why are the cups easier to write off / companies specifically not insure them?

  Audi TT 3.2 V6
No abs on 172 cup. thats pretty much the main reason.

Because of this they are a group 17 insurance and come autum/winter time alot have been crashed so insurance co's dont like them anymore.

Im 19, i've got 2 years no claims and have a clio 182 '04. the way ive got around huge costs is having my rents insure it and as ive kept my old banger from my first 2 years thats my "main car". so aslong as i drive it more than the 182 im fine, but how can they prove i drive it more than the 182, they CANT so rather than 2k its 1.2k for the 2 cars. Bit long winded way to save money but very effective. one of my mates found saying your engage (as a fella) lowers your insurance and apprently cause it makes your calmer???

  172 Cup, RB 182 Cup
my best quote on a 172 cup was £1000 tpft or 1300 fc through admiral.

i was 19 (20 now just) with 1 years ncb

try them

172 is cheaper to insure than the cup.

Cups more expensive to insure as there easier to write off.

Not always the case, was cheaper for a Cup than a normal 172 with Bell for me.

Apparently his csl cost him £4k to insure or something.

That would actually be a pretty good price.. When my cuz had his CSL it was £1800 for a 28yr old, good postcode, maximum NCD and no points/convictions.

  PH1 172
exactly the reason i sold my 172 cup :(:( brok emy heart and wish i kud have kept it but things sucked - and no1 wud touch me come renewal

but 182 with cup packs was no problem at all

1220 tpft and thats in NI too which is always more expensive!
