IMHO its more fun in the passenger seat, cause Lee is a lot more aggressvie with it than any of us are going to be with someone else's very expensive car.

And he isnt just brave and generous, he is also insanely stupid and far too trusting, my fear is that one of these days he will lend a car to someone who cant afford to put it right who then writes it off for him and teaches him a valuable lesson that he needs to be more selfish :(

Yep. Totally agree. They are fabulous little cars. I grew up with normally aspirated FWD hot hatches and would always want to have one... to me the Clio is just an amazing fun little car.... and there are some really great people who I have met on here and who are massive petrolheads like me.

I love my Clio just as much as my other toys... sometimes more. For example 2 weeks ago at the Nurburgring I did over 20 laps in my Clio and ZERO in my ExigeS! I didnt get in the Lotus at all for the 2 days we were at the Ring! thats how much I like driving my little Clio.

Clios rock and I think this is an excellent forum full of knowledgable and fun people... thats why I am on here.

my 64 year old mums driven it... :)

you don't have to drive it fast to enjoy it on the road. Seven type cars are so 'different' and open and exciting on the road... just coz they are so small! and you feel so open (and a bit vunerable I guess?!?! an artic lorry fells like a foooooking OIL TANKER when its next to you in slow traffic!)

I'm only 40 mins from you... pop over if you want. My best mate Dan lives in old farm avenue in Sidcup, just near highstreet.

Yeah thats a fair point, when I was out AFRing checking it after we did the cambelt on it it was far more fun than you would think just hammering about on the road not really on it just bringing it up on boost etc to check it over, without pushing it hard in the bends like you would on track.
Plus you can always wind the boost down to keep it safer, would still feel quick to most people even if it bores me or you etc in a straightline after having experienced it on high boost, lol

First time I ever met him I ended up driving his 600bhp 4wd converted 3 door sierra cosworth.
(and I stalled it 3 times, FLOL)

Chip, we need to check the AFR on track/road. We keep forgetting... we were gonna check it at Ring/Spa!

hinking of doing Bedford on 3rd and Silverstone on 4th. Are you around at all to help pls mate

Depends what the mrs is upto work wise that weekend. I'll find out later in the week and let you know mate. Is this on the westy you mean as obviously we have recently done the clio on the road recently anyway?
Does it have a lambda boss in the downpipe or do we need to go up the tailpipe I can't remember what's on it currently tbh!

Has two bosses in downpipe. One has a wideband for the AIM dash in it... doesnt work for some reason... no one knows why! The other was for ECU I think?!? That has a screw in blank.

Would be good to get the dash/ecu all reading correctly.... but in meantime just be nice to get it checked on road.
