Why are xenons not on a trophy model??

Extra weight y0.

I honestly don't no tbh. It can't be for weight saving, as they still have aircon and other bits.

Because the trophy is based on the 182 cup, which didn't have xeons.

Probably cost but they would have had thousands of lights 550 wouldn't break the bank.

My thinking is the illusion of lightweight. No washers etc, simple back bench, stripped back racer? It's not but the image they were trying to depict.

That's what I thought, also what other 'extras' are there on a trophy compared to a full fat 182???

Missing Xenon headlights and headlamp washer jets, Climate Control (heater vents for rear footwells also removed), illuminated sun visors, Solar Reflective Windscreen, Automatic headlights and rain sensitive wipers, leather / alcantara seats/door cards (rear bench also downgraded to a single piece item with no headrests), No side air bags. No Engine cover, The carpet and headlining was also downgraded to a basic specification (even the document wallet was downgraded from faux leather to cloth). Sound deadening was also reduced, along with several fabric deflector pads present in the front wheelarch/engine bay gaps and one in the left rear wheel arch being removed from specification. The horn was downgraded from a twin unit to a single unit and the interior light was downgraded to a unit with no map reading function. Borrowed from Wiki
Better seats, suspension, and wheels.

So basically the the trophy is s**t and should be cheaper ;)

Bingo. Hence why it doesn't have adjustable wipers, has a cloth rear bench, poverty gear knob and doorcards, washers blanks, cup hubs, etc.

They did chuck in a non-cup steering wheel though, presumably as it had to work with the CC (don't 100% know if cups came with it?) and to give it a sportier feel to fit in with the Recaro's.

Jesus, that's probably the most Clio related geek post I've ever made on here.

I'm thinking of putting xenons on my Trophy.

Is it an expensive job?

I'm assuming I'd need washer jets fitted too, so it doesn't fail MOT etc.

MkII Clio xenons are rubbish anyway. The standard lamps light the road up much better. Proven.

But anyway yes. Trophy is a 182Cup with better suspension and standard fit Recaros.

182 Cups came with a non sport steering wheel but with cruise control. The only thing to make cruise control fit a non sport wheel is a sport airbag, as they have space at the edges for the CC buttons.

Xenons are dangerous anyway, no one can see you...

Ah, fair does. Was just speculating at why they'd include the melting wheel in the Trophy instead of the cup item, lol.

Racecar is Racecar backwards..

I noticed this today

One of the reasons overall why I think the 182 FF ticks all the boxes

How many trophy owners say they 'arnt bothered about xenons' then they go and fit them!

I fitted them to mine, then removed them as I prefer the standard look. If it came with Xenons, I'd leave them there for the standard look.
