They carry horrendous claims/loss ratios, especially for under 25's.
Pity insurers just dont refuse cover to under 25's on them. Would reduce the horrible stats and make the cost of cover reasonable for us grown ups.
I guessed this was the case. Unfortunately I don't deem myself to fall into that stereotypical bracket, however the bracket exists and you can't argue with the stats.
Those quotes are based on 22 years old (23 in Feb 2012) 5 1/2 years licence, 5 years no claims (now protected), no points or convictions, and Mum named on the policy, postcode is DA14 which statistically isn't the greatest despite being an alright area.
The insurance for me is 500 quid less on the M3.
E46 M3 came in at 1400... On the plus side a Z3m Roadster was 800 odd... but again, both will be out of budget next year along with the Tamora
350 is a potential, but it screams, lardy, heavy and not as fun, especially after reading Jenic's thread...
