Why would a car overheat, show a oil pressure warning light and have the AC blow warm air all at onc

  BMW X5
a 2010 Volvo C30. He recently purchased a new radiator and as he was driving down the hwy his car began to overheat. He immediately pulled over and shut the engine off. After it cooled he tried to drive it home and it began overheating again, this time the oil pressure light came on. Knowing how series this is he shut the car down immediately. He then told me the AC has been blowing hot air at times for the last couple of weeks. It will be towed to Volvo in the morning. Any ideas on what to expect?

Oil loss shouldn't affect the A/C operation though? What engine does it have? Could be as simple as an airlock in the cooling system causing overheating if the rad's not been replaced properly.

  R5gtt, 182, volvo...
would there be a reason for an airlock?

If in down top it up, fans on full and give it some revs and see if the tank drops at all.. I'd still expect it to be the worse tho, as engines often pull through air locks themselves.. Not all, but many..

Oil light coming on is a symptom of overheating.

As is the AC blowing hot.

Find your overheating fault

Why was the rad replaced? Who replaced it? What engine is it? C30's are a pig to bleed the coolant

To me it sounds like a combination of faults. The system not being bled properly and the fan not working; Most of the cars I have seen have the AC condenser in front of the radiator.

Does the fan work with the AC on?
