wich head unit?

looking at getting a new head unit to work with my i pod, i'm currently using one of those fm transmitters wich is utter gash, really like the look of the alpine but for the fact it has no cd (i pod has a habit of freezing up from time to time )

alpine. ive got it in my car and it works a treat. u can go through all the ipod menu using the headunit and the ipod can just sit in the glove box. the only thing it doesnt do is play video on the screen or show you the photos if u have a video ipod.

does it plug directly in to the sw controls or do you need an adaptor?

no u get a usb cable that plugs into the back of the head unit and then another cable,which will plug into the usb with the ipod connector on the end of it to plug your ipod into. so everything u need will come with it.

Alpine all day for Ipod, I have it in mine, absolutely fantastic and as fast at changing tracks as if you were holding the ipod yourself.

You won't miss the cd I can assure you, after an ipod why would you ever need one....

I have a Sony unit with digital connection and interface, and still retain CD functionality as it flips down...not got the time to find the link now but was about £220, works amazingly and looks the nuts.

Becker grand prix...i've got the one in the link below, bluetooth which is ace as you can start and end calls via the head unit without actually touching the your phone...you can also select how loud you want to hear the person who your on the phone to by the head unit..

It also has an ipod link.
