Just wondered if anyone on here had encountered the problem i am having and if a cure was found.
When my wipers are set to auto they work as they should with the click from the relay. When they have been left on for a while and the rain gets heavier they speed up but when i come to turn them off they just continue to wipe. No matter which position i put the stalk in they just continue. In the past i have had to move the stalk up and down through the selector and back to off and most of the time it stops them. Also if i turn the ignition off for a while that also stops them.
Yesterday my partner had the same problem but this morning when she came to start the car the wipers started to move on the ignition which is unusual as they normally reset with the ignition off.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be please. I was thinking a faulty stalk but wanted to check first. I have reset the ECU but has made no difference.
