will 17's fit?

new to this, just seeing if 17s would fit without any hassle??, ie modifying the arches. my car is an 03 1.2 16v if that helps

17's will make it slower, you probably wouldn't notice, but if ever you put the original wheels back on you'll notice it'll be quicker.

thats where the bodykit comes in 1st before lowering, to see how much it will need ;)

i wouldn't put 17's on, i put my standard 172 16" on my mums 1.2 16v 2002 clio, and the rear wheels rubbed if you go around bends quickly and sharply, and that was without people in the back !!

im not sure to tell you the truth, my 16inch laguna wheels are just about as close as id want to get the spring seat on the shock to the tyre.
i have seen 17s on a clio but it had about 1mm of clearence between tyre and shock.
arches arent really a problem its the shocks- although if running coilovers on the front its not an issue as they are skinnier and dont have the same design large springs and seats

each to there own opinion on bodtkits etc, i'am a young guy who just loves modified cars makes the car more noticeable and in some cases unique, this is ny opinion

Probably the wrong offset mate.

I had 17" alloys on a 1.2 lowered 60mm, dont think it ever rubbed.

If that's what you want to do mate then do it. Don't worry what everyone else thinks. As long as your happy that's what counts. But bodykits don't go down well on here

If your going to do it, do it properly, none of this off the shelf s**te

Good advice there... Although imo some kits can make a standard clio look quite eye catching in a good way, others just make it look worse. :approve:

well they were standard clio 172 16" rims of a phase 2 (not cup turinis) the 5 spoke 172 alloys with standard continental tyres. It not a constant rubbing, so you probably didnt notice.
