I need to know as my mum has a puncture on her MX5 and I have about 15 Clio wheels and tyres lying around....

I ask on here because i'm sure there was a chap on here that swapped his MX5 wheels for his Clio wheels, but am unsure if adaptors were used.

Cheers :D

I had some old R5 Turbo wheels on my mx5 when i had it, Whether they're the same fitment as the clios im not sure though.

Yes, but the centre bore on mazda is smaller I think, therefore will be hard to get it to fit and not be 100% safe, although it should be fine.

(although, the mazda bore may be larger, in which case no! Clio is 60.1mm bore)

Was that J05 or whatever his name is... had that "euro" mk2 with Borbets and stuck them on his MX5.

well youll need 4X100 and an ET (offset) close to the originals..if you look on the punctured rim , there should be an ET number, ....what is it?

Make : MazdaModel : MX5 4 StudYear : 89>PCD : 4x100Offset : 35 to 45Bore : 54.1Fittings : N 12x1.5

Make : RenaultModel : Clio 2 1.2 to 1.8Year : 99>PCD : 4x100Offset : 35 to 45Bore : 60.1Fittings : B 12x1.5

From the above just the centre bore is different so spigot rings to shim from 54.1 to 60.1

The mazda bore is slightly smaller, obv when tightend it probably wudnt be a problem, but whether or not its worth the risk is ur own choice!
