i have a 2005 1.2 16 valve clio, its going to be fitted with a megasquirt ecu to run the fueing and ignition, if i was to fit a 1.6 16v engine , would it run with the megasquirt controlling the fuleing and timing, and the standard renault ecu controlling everything else?

an by standard renault ecu i mean 1.2 ecu

You'd be much better off retaining the standard ECU to run the 1.6.

Or just flog it and buy a 172.

any reason in particular why you want MS ECU doing some of the control on the 1.6?
