Will Mk1 Megane door handles fit on a Mk2 Clio?

Anyone know? I'm pretty sure I have read somewhere in the past that they are the same

they look the same but i remember hearing that they dont fit, sure it was a guy trying to put them on a mk1 172? could have been carbon copy actually?
