Will this effect starting

Been having intermittent starting probs turns over but will not start takes 5-6 attempts done a search and the tdc sensor comes up a lot but would this fault come up when they do there diagnostic check as it did not on mine only 266 02 sensor signal before cat intermittent did so would that effect starting .

The one which flashes when you don't have the key in the ignition. Center of the dials, only one which flashes when there no keys in the ignition.

i too have had this problem on my diesel, i ve found that if i leave the key turned in ignition for 2 mins, then try and start it starts fine! can anyone identify the fault here?

Yeah, I'm being pedantic, but I think you mean "will this affect starting?" as in will it prevent the car from starting. "Will this effect starting" means exactly the opposite. It means will it cause it to start.
