Willdot. and Dan' meet Rob.

  Megane 225 F1
Popped up to South London yesterday to see Rob for some wheel buying and selling. Cash going everywhere. Any way, we went to Bluewater (Have to say, never been there before and never heard of it) for Pizza Hut and then some pics.

Pics aren't amazing as I haven't had the camera long and getting used to it. Seem a bit blury to me, so if anyone can give me some hints on how to not get blur :(

Willdot pic-ca-tures!!!

I must confess, the whole bending down and trying to look like a professional photographer thing had me fooled. You certainly need a little more practice ;)

Would you email me all the Hi-res's, I'll do a little editing at work tomorrow and should be able to tidy a few up. :)

Not bad overall though :)

Very nice to meet you (finally) and good to see Dan again :)

Picked up my carbon front badge today, will possibly be going on soon :)

Oh, and spacers are going on the front, 25mm

If there's one thing I know, it's getting down level with the car's ;)

Ok mate. Which ones do you want?

Lemme know about those gear gaitors :D

15mm spacers max on the front, 45 profile tyres needed desperately and another 40mm drop front, 30 rear should see it looking sweet

But sorry mate at the current height I'm not feeling it. Also ph1 Rear bumper makes the wheels/stance look worse. Get the ph2 back on mate it makes sense

I'm glad someone fecking noticed ;)

Just send me most of the ones you posted matey. I'm not going to do them all, just line a few up better etc.

Not bad shots, but you will certainly get much better!

Practise and all that ;)

I'l email the over in a bit mate.

Hmmmmmm.... not sure I agree if I'm honest, but everyone is entitled to an opinion.

30mm rear? I can't even fit my thumb in the rear arch gap, let alone 30mm!!! The front won't be going any lower as the front bumper hits big speed bumps as it is!!!

25mm + camber on the front will be perfectly suitable surely? 25mm will sit them pretty flush.

I don't rate the 45 profile tyres, as nice as they look, they cost more don't they? So for the sake of a few mm thinner tyre, more money and less drivable? As much as I'm into having a car that looks good, having one that drives well is more important.

Also, I'd got fed up with the ph2 bumper, so I've changed back for a bit, loving at at the moment though.

looking good rob much better with the ph1 rear bumper it i think it just needs a bit more lows to pull it off. wheels look spot on now you have given em a clean up ;)

Cheers mate, I think the back is all the way down tbh, I'll check though...

WHAT!!!

Parda Spec-2's are the worse tyres in the world.

Would never ever buy them again.

Wheels look cool tho :)

Seriously? I've never had them before, and have only had them for two days, but I think they're AWESOME!

If I'm perfectly honest I don't care how tyres perform in the wet, I never boot it anyway, but in the dry, they seem genuinely brilliant! They've surprised me a few time as it is, I expect them to slip a little, try to correct for it, but I just don't need to!

Why don't you rate them? (not a dig, I'm just genuinely curious)

Well if that's how you want it mate it is your car at the end of the day

If you want it to be practical then the f1's were probably the best look to go for, the current wheels look to be more of a 'scene' wheel. To pull the true style of the wheel off the car needs to have no arch gap and really have a good stance. Even though bifcaids is just running lenso's that aren't the widest the stance looks spot on, right spacers, profile and height

It's still smart though maybe the picture angles don't do it justice.

Also remove the splitter and drop it another 20mm to have the same front bumper clearance but less arch gap

Nay! It's in the loft for when I get bored with the ph1 one, again :)

As much as I'd like to do certain things to the car, it currently get's me to work and back, come Jan/Feb when I get a company car, it will go a lot more "hardcore" if you will.

I love Biffy's, and hopefully I can achieve some sort of "stance" without going horrendously impractical at the moment, I would remove the splitter, but although it hits things, it gives me a damn fine indication of when that would be my front bumper, which at the moment suits me pretty well.

The front wheel are already running camber but will be brought out 25mm (although the wheels are already a better offset that the f1's they're still a long way in the ph1 arches), the rear's will be spaced 5/10mm and then given some ghetto camber, if there is any more adjustment in the back suspension, it'll go down a touch, but I'm quite sure there isn't.

Hopefully then I'll find a medium, drivable, fine for fast road use, but looking tasty. I'm not too bothered about being "scene" if I was, I'd have bought a vw.

Ok, so it seems my iPhone takes pictures that are greater than or equal to Will's DSLR type thing.... Really should have taken some more, I only took these because I changed the bumper back...

(Looking at your pics will, you seem to have basically shot with the wrong settings, too long shutter speed for hand held I'd say).

A few of mine/willdot's I edited:

And the ph1 bum, just for all of you who hated the ph2 version...

Both cars look lovely!

Said it in your thread but those wheels look really good rob!

They look like you took them through a goldfish bowl! Lol.

You just need to check where you're focusing. If the shutter speed is too long that you can't hold it steady for that long, get a tripod.
