Havent used my car for 2months now (suspension & rust issues), unfortunatly its been outside - and today when refitting my alarm, i found this.

I know it razzed it down on Tuesday, but how the hell has water collected here ? Taped up my sunroof temporally after drying it out today as im fed up.I dont know if its leaking from the glass seal or the plastic outer shell.

Does anyone know what path the water will have taken to get there ? And are there drain tubes from the sunroof, to let water out

I dont think they have drainage tubes !! Which is a bad idea !! The usual culpret is the seal between the sunroof and the car body. Ive siliconed mine up but a new seal can be had for £30 from renault !! It may also be the ariel seal !! You can either renew it or silicone that up aswell !! Ive been down that road and it pissed me off a treat !!

Ive stripped the centre console out in the head lining, to investigate. A bit of water there, so its definatly the sunroof. I know its not the ariel thats leaking, as it looks pretty solid.

But I found a plastic tube behind the fuse panel today, when refitting the alarm - so im going to try and trace that to find out where it goes. It appears around the top dash moulding, and vanashes into behind the carpet.

It does have drainage what is most likely is that this blocks up which inturn fills the guttering up and when you go round a corner it overflows on your lap. So no big problem! Or get a willy 1/2 (no sunroof)
