Williams Service Costs

  220bhp octy VRS

My little baby is due for her 54,000 mile service in the next few weeks.

Just wanted to know how much everybody pays for a service for a williams...at a renault garage and elsewhere?

Depends on where you go and their labour charges.

Mine cost me £36 I think.

Just check everything was done at the 48K service that should have been.

got one done on my williams on friday, renault wanted 120 for a 60,000 service that was just oil change and air filter, shocking! so i just got my local garage to do it and it was 58 quid all in, i bit more respectable!

Michael - I just had my 54,000 service at a trusted Renault specialist and it cost me £80. That was basically for an oil change and general checkover (although I did ask them to check everything as Ive just got the car). I looked back through all the bills that came with my Willy and about £70-100 seems to be the going rate at a specialist, with a couple of odd bits included.

Youve got to remember that Renault dealers hardly ever see a Clio 16V, let alone a Williams and the mechanics treat them accordingly. My last visit to a Renault dealer saw my old 16V end up with 20 more miles on the clock and lots of bits not done right (I was in Edinburgh at the time and couldnt use my regular Renault specialist).

A good specialist like Renatec in Bristol will see a few Clio/19 16Vs every week and will probably have a few regular Williams customers (which is about as popular as youll get in terms of Willys!). I speak to the owner every time and know hed never take a customers car out for a laugh at lunchtime. They know exactly what theyre doing because they see the cars all the time and Id be happy to pay Renault prices for that peace of mind. As it happens, theyre cheaper!

As for recommendations, try:

- Southern England: Paul Mitchell http://www.infinicar.comwww.infinicar.com

- Midlands: Hill Power http://www.hillpower.co.ukwww.hillpower.co.uk

- Wales/West: Renatec 0117 977 7789

Cheers Ben, mines just done 54K and mines in need of a full service i think.

The Willy sounds like a diesel when I start the thing up first thing in the morning.

I was thinking of asking Paul as I live in Surrey, the only other thing was maybe check out K-tech or even going up to BB.

Renault wanted £330

Wot do u lot think?

is there any one in romford who can do my 16v?

i took it to a normal garage for the usual oil +filter change + check over and it costy me £80 last time i went (84k)

it wasnt a bad service, but i prefer a specialist next time !

might take it to paul actually....probably best.

The thought of some renbault grease monkey ragging it round in my car turns my stomach!!!

Yeah same here mate, was talking to peeps earlier about the whole service history thing, and they were sayin they rather buy a Willy that has been serviced by BB/k-tech/hill power etc then having it done by renault themselves.

Im gonna give these lot a ring during the week, including Paul to see how much itll cost me.

Colchester, or there is a Renault specialists in Langdon Hills (<A target=_blank href= "http://www.southhillgarage.co.ukwww.southhillgarage.co.uk - nr. Basildon) that Ive had recommended to me by another Williams owner.
